A háború három éve alatt Ukrajnában zajló küzdelem és szenvedés bensőséges krónikája, a frontvonaltól különböző távolságban lévő helyszíneken megörökítve. A helyiek számára a háború borzalmai, a bombázások, a halál és a pusztítás tragikus mindennapokká válnak, míg a világ többi része szemében fokozatosan a feledés homályába vesznek. A feldúlt, háború sújtotta táj hátterében azonban az ukránok új generációja mer álmodni hazája fényes jövőjéről. A cél világos - elgondolkodni a háború normalizálódásának végső tragédiáján, és megváltoztatni ezt a forgatókönyvet nemcsak az ukrán nép, hanem a világ többi részének gondolkodásában is.

Ukrajna Magyarországi Nagykövetsége és a Verzió Dokumentumfilm Fesztivál február 25-én levetíti a Toldi moziban Olha Zhurba ukrán rendező Dalok a lassan égő Földről (Songs of Slow Burning Earth) című, a 21. Verzión Doc Future díjat nyert filmjét. 

Az esemény a Fókuszban Ukrajna rendezvénysorozat része, amely 2025. február 24. és március 4. között megtartására kerül az EUNIC Hungary együttműködésével. 

A vetítés a tavaszi Re:Verzió programsorozat első eseménye.

An intimate chronicle of Ukraine's struggle and suffering during three years of war, captured in varying proximities to the frontline. For the local population, the horrors of full-scale war, shellings, death, destruction become a tragic normality, while for the rest of the world, they fade into a distant background. Against the backdrop of fractured, war-torn landscape, a new generation of Ukrainians dares to dream of a bright future of their country. The goal is clear - to contemplate the ultimate tragedy of the normalization of war and change this scenario in the eyes of their own people, but also in the mindset of the rest of the world.

Ukrainian Embassy in Budapest and Verzió Film Festival will screen Songs of Slow Burning Earth by Ukrainian director Olha Zhurba on 25 February in Toldi cinema. The event is part of the Focus on Ukraine series, which will be held between 24 February and 4 March 2025 in cooperation with EUNIC Hungary. 

The screening is part of the Re:Verzió program series taking place this spring.
