Zoryana és Edgars 17 éves fiatal szülők, akik a lett vidék egy távoli csücskében élnek. Családi házukat, ahol a fiaikat nevelik, gyönyörű táj, természet és állatok veszik körül. Zoryana édesanyja meg van győződve arról, hogy ez a legjobb családi fészek, ahol csak gyereket nevelni lehet. Azonban a munkalehetőségek szűkössége a környéken mélyszegénységben tartja a családot. Amikor Edgars munkát kap a városban, Zoryanának döntenie kell: folytassa az életüket vidéken vagy vigye fel a gyerekeket a városba Edgars-hoz.

Zoryana and Edgars became parents at the tender age of 17. They live in the remote Latvian countryside, and raise their sons with their extended family, surrounded by a beautiful landscape, nature and animals. Zoryana's mother is convinced that the family home is the best place for the children to grow up, however, the limited job opportunities available nearby have left the family mired in poverty. When Edgars gets a job in the city Zoryana must choose whether to continue their countryside way of life, or take the children and follow Edgars into the city.
